SEND IN YOUR LOCAL UNIT OFFICERS
It is time to email the list of your local unit's 2014-2015 officers to support@wastatepta.org. Please include the name and number of your PTA, your new officer's names and email addresses, their title, and the name of the PTA in which they are a member if they are not currently a member of your PTA. Please be specific about title - for example if a VP has a specific function such as membership, legislative, family and community engagement (formerly outreach), or program be sure to include that information. When we receive this information, these new officers will be added to the email list that receives Leadership News as well as information on training, updates, and instructions for the member registration process which we will begin sending in June.

Seattle School Traffic Safety Committee Seeks New Members
The Seattle School Traffic Safety Committee is accepting applications for new members to help make walking and biking to school in Seattle safer and easier. The volunteer board, which was created by the Seattle City Council in 1975 to improve traffic safety for all of Seattle's school children, plays an influential role in implementing Seattle's School Road Safety Action Plan. The board advises the Mayor and City Council with respect to school traffic safety, including adult crossing guard locations, school traffic signs and signals, school safety patrols, bicycle facilities, sidewalks and student traffic safety education.

Seattle Council PTSA and Seattle Public Schools have partnered to offer a 10-week Family Engagement Training April 10-June 17 at Highland Park Elementary School in West Seattle. (First session is Thursday April 10, then every Tuesday April 22-June 17).
