The Seattle Council PTSA is pleased to announce a new program providing grants of up to $300 to assist Seattle PTA units with their efforts to promote family engagement.
What Types of Funding Requests Qualify?
The goal of the program is to support Seattle PTA units' efforts to be active partners and leaders in successful family engagement. Activities or expenses that are necessary to successfully involve all families, or support efforts to grow and become a stronger unit will qualify. Some examples include:
* Participation in "PTA Take Your Family to School Week" or different one-time event
* Support of efforts to implement the SPS Family & Community Engagement Framework
* Purchase of re-usable family event oriented resources (i.e. math games, books, materials)
* Support structures to enable better communications (newsletter translation, printing, etc)
* Support for efforts that help new and emerging PTAs get off to a strong start
* Application for National PTA Parent Involvement School of Excellence Certification
1st Round Postmark Deadline: January 11, 2008
